Tough Enough Reality Show Hires Tactical K9

April 5th, 2011

On February 20, 2011, the new reality television show (Tough Enough) hired Tactical K9 to assist in one of their television segments. The new updated show was given the green light earlier this year by the USA Channel to make its debut. The show’s producers decided to do a segment by having their contestants compete with each other in Police K9 Decoy work. Producers of the show contracted with Doug Roller (CEO of Tactical K9) to choreograph the show. Contestants were kept in the dark about what their next challenge was. As they made their way toward the field they were met by "Cold Stone" Steve Austin and Doug Roller. Steve Austin lectured them on his expectations while Doug Roller instructed them on proper decoy work. The contestants were challenged with taking a full running hit by each of the trained working dogs. Once they were hit by the dog they were given a location on the field they had to make it to. Some made it and many did not. It was an exciting day. Dave and Mike Reaver from Alderhorst International assisted in this segment. Photos of this event can be viewed in the photo section of this web site. The show will be airing in April.

Doug Roller has been invited for a second year in a row to conduct K9 training for Brazilian Police and Military personnel. We have been honored again with a request to train and instruct these fine folks. Much thanks goes out to Alessandro Pelletti (owner of Dog Masters) to make this event possible.
