Tactical K9 Conducted 5 Day Workshop at Camp Pendleton for the Marines MWD Program
On April 1st, 2012, Tactical K9 and instructor Doug Roller officially introduced the E-collar to the Marine Corps MWD Program. The class was conducted at Camp Pendleton in San Diego California. This first class consisted of a selected 10 handlers and thier canine partners. The teams were introduced to the E-collar. Though the E-collar has been used in a limited capacity in the MWD community - this was the first time it was actucally offered to basic MWD Programs. It is hoped that this pilot program will demonstrate the advantage of using this fine tool when trained and implemented correctly. Tactical K9 was proud to be involved in this cutting edge training which hopefully will mprove and enhance thier K9 teams off leash control. Much thanks goes to Mike Wells for putting this class together.
